Job Summary
Iron Mountain is seeking an experienced and empathetic Associate - Collections to join our Collections team within the Global Capability Center in Bengaluru.
In this role, you will be responsible for independently managing standard collection accounts, skillfully negotiating payment resolutions, and executing clear verbal and written communications across phone, email, chat, and helpdesk tickets.
You will collaborate closely with internal Team Leads, Supervisors, and cross-functional stakeholders, while acting as a trusted touchpoint for external customers to resolve disputes and deliver exceptional service.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
Skillfully negotiate and resolve standard collection accounts by analyzing root causes, de-escalating challenging customer interactions, and reaching mutually acceptable payment solutions that balance customer needs with organizational goals.
Collaborate with internal Team Leads, Supervisors, cross-functional stakeholders, and junior team members to streamline customer disputes and maintain high-quality service outcomes.
Ensure compliance with company policies, financial guidelines, and reporting standards while maintaining clear, professional documentation across all communication platforms.
What You’ll Bring
The ideal candidate will have:
2 to 3 years of experience in collections, customer excellence, or financial operations processes.
Strong knowledge of root cause analysis, active listening, and concise written and verbal business communication across phone, email, and chat platforms.
Proven ability in negotiation, emotional intelligence, customer de-escalation, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
High School Diploma or Bachelor's Degree.
