Position Summary

The Associate Vice President, NY/CT Operations is the senior operational leader responsible for driving business performance, leadership development, and cultural alignment across Sila's New York and Connecticut portfolio.

This is a highly visible leadership role that requires hands-on engagement in the field. The AVP will serve as the primary coach, mentor, and accountability partner to General Managers throughout the market while ensuring each location operates according to Sila's standards for operational excellence, financial performance, and customer experience.

The ideal candidate is a proven multi-site operator with strong financial acumen, exceptional leadership capabilities, and experience scaling businesses within the residential home services industry.

What You'll DoMarket Leadership & Operational Excellence
  • Lead and support General Managers across the New York and Connecticut market.
  • Drive accountability for operational execution and overall business performance.
  • Establish and maintain a disciplined operating cadence including daily huddles, weekly KPI reviews, monthly financial reviews, and quarterly business reviews.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess performance, coach leaders, and identify operational improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure consistent adoption of company systems, processes, and best practices across all locations.
  • Prepare and develop General Managers to confidently present business performance and strategic plans.
Financial Leadership
  • Own market-level financial performance including revenue, gross margin, EBITDA, and operational efficiency metrics.
  • Partner with finance leadership to review P&Ls, identify trends, and implement corrective actions.
  • Coach General Managers on budgeting, forecasting, labor management, and expense control.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on profitability, productivity, and operational effectiveness.
  • Monitor labor utilization, inventory management, and operational expenses across the market.
Leadership Development & Talent Growth
  • Coach, mentor, and develop General Managers through structured one-on-one meetings and ongoing leadership development.
  • Create individualized development plans that prepare leaders for expanded responsibilities and multi-site leadership opportunities.
  • Build a strong succession pipeline by identifying and developing high-potential talent throughout the organization.
  • Foster a culture centered on accountability, teamwork, customer service, and operational excellence.
  • Model Sila's core values in every interaction.
Integration & Strategic Growth
  • Lead the successful operational integration of newly acquired companies into the Sila platform.
  • Partner with integration teams to ensure smooth transitions while preserving brand strengths and customer relationships.
  • Support the continued development of Sila's regional operating model.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on growth strategies, acquisition readiness, and market expansion initiatives.
  • Facilitate the sharing of best practices across brands to improve overall performance.
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
  • 10+ years of progressive operational leadership experience within residential home services, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or related trades.
  • Proven success leading multiple locations, business units, or brands.
  • Strong P&L management experience with direct accountability for revenue growth, profitability, and EBITDA performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and elevate General Managers and senior leaders.
  • Experience building high-performing teams in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments.
  • Strong analytical and financial management skills.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and change management abilities.
  • Ability to travel frequently throughout New York and Connecticut.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a private equity-backed organization.
  • Multi-brand or multi-location leadership experience.
  • Mergers, acquisitions, or business integration experience.
  • Experience scaling operations within a rapidly growing platform.
