What You’ll Do
- Research emerging technologies and markets across energy, compute, and manufacturing to uncover high-potential opportunities.
- Evaluate early-stage technologies and founders through commercial and technical diligence.
- Build financial models, venture theses, and investment memos that inform new company formation.
- Translate insights from adjacent industries to frame and accelerate entirely new venture ideas.
- Collaborate with founders to shape business plans, go-to-market strategies, and early customer pathways.
- Contribute to Roadrunner’s evolving venture-creation playbook and the deep-tech ecosystem in Albuquerque.
- Speak to the customers themselves and guide how the next generation of frontier technologies are built.
Who You Are
- You’re insatiably curious and highly technical — the kind of person who can’t help but learn something new every day. You read about emerging tech for fun, spot patterns before others do, and get energy from connecting dots across industries. You’re analytical but creative and you thrive in ambiguity. You’re drawn to people who build things that matter.
- You also bring:
- 3+ years in consulting, venture capital, strategy, or startup operations.
- Comfort with quantitative and qualitative analysis — from market sizing to business modeling.
- A technical foundation (engineering, physics, computer science, or related field) preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and a bias toward clarity, action, and collaboration.
- Located in Albuquerque, NM or a desire to relocate there to be in-person with the team.
