The Opportunity:
As a Valuation Associate, you will join a team dedicated to overseeing the valuation of our co-investment and credit portfolio. As a part of this team, you will help to define the group’s role within the organization and create effective processes to manage the quarterly valuations of underlying portfolio companies.
Your responsibilities will be to:
- Work with internal deal teams to gather data and information pertinent to the valuation of portfolio companies
- Ensure specialist valuations are properly integrated into internal deliverables
- Strong organization skills managing multiple deadlines personally and for the team
- Report and present analyses and conclusions, including written reports, to internal valuation committees
- Perform reviews and reasonableness assessments of third-party prepared valuation models as part of a quarterly valuation process
- Work directly with external auditors on specific valuation related questions
- Design financial models for market multiple, market transaction, discounted cash flow and option pricing analyses for ad hoc projects
- Detail oriented outlook ensuring consistency and quality of team output
- Special projects as assigned
Your background will include:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 3+ years of related business valuation or project management work experience
- Financial modelling skills including experience building models from scratch
- Demonstrated record of solving complex problems and completing challenging projects
- Previous audit or valuation experience in professional services/Big 4 Firm a plus
- Master’s degree and/or achievement or progress towards a CFA a plus
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship
