Johnson & Johnson MedTech is currently recruiting an Associate Test Engineer, R&D - MedTech. The position is located in Cincinnati, OH & will work a hybrid schedule with 3 days per week in the office.

You will be responsible for:

  • Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for all Harmonic Lab equipment and processes, providing technical guidance and support to ensure optimal performance.
  • Serve as an SME for lab equipment and preventive maintenance, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices for maintaining equipment accuracy and reliability.
  • Assist in the identification, development, and implementation of equipment enhancements to improve efficiency and performance in R&D activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, optimize, and validate processes, ensuring alignment with engineering standards and project objectives.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including user manuals, technical specifications, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for equipment and processes.
  • Serve as the functional lab lead for technical staff on equipment functionality, best practices, and troubleshooting techniques to foster a culture of knowledge sharing.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and quality control measures in all engineering practices and R&D projects.
  • Stay current with advancements in engineering practices, technologies, and equipment relevant to the research and development field.
  • Ensure strict adherence to Good Documentation Practices (GDP) to maintain compliance and uphold quality standards in regulated environments.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field is required.
  • Proven background in equipment maintenance, validation processes, or relevant technical experience within R&D settings is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and effectively solve complex technical problems in a laboratory environment is required.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Understanding of industry standard instrumentation and communication protocols (RS232, Ethernet/IP, TCP/IP, etc.) is required.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of programming languages, for example, LabVIEW and/or Python among others is preferred.
  • Ability to use SolidWorks (or equivalent) to design functional test fixtures or components is preferred.
  • Experience working in a highly regulated technical environment, with an understanding of compliance standards, is highly preferred.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$76,000.00 - $121,900.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:
Vacation –120 hours per calendar year
Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year
Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year
Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child
Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year
Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days
Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year
Military Spouse Time-Off – 80 hours per calendar year
