Job Description

To further strengthen our Global Distribution Technical Marketing team, we are looking for a Technical Marketing engineer who will develop & execute tailored promotion activities driving Broad Market business growth for a dedicated set of product categories within the industrial markets.

To achieve your goals, you will work closely with Renesas Business Units, Regional Marketing and Distributors, to gain an understanding of market needs, preparing business potential analysis, developing innovative technical marketing campaigns while acting as an interface to Renesas Product Line & System Solution teams. You are passionate about the industrial semiconductor market, staying up to date about the latest Industrial market trends & requirements and focused on promoting products and enhancing end-user experience as part of a complete solution-selling vision for all Renesas.

Job Summary:

Work with System Solutions & Product Line Marketing teams to

  • Accelerate the opportunity funnel, drive design-wins and revenue growth within the Industrial channel/distribution customer base with regional FAE/Sales partners.
  • Develop marketing collateral & fighting guides for the target application segments that leverage the full Renesas portfolio and promote the Renesas value proposition vs competition.
  • Engage with key customers within the segment to drive solution wins and collect customer feedback to shape our next generation solution spec requirements and influence our roadmap
  • Work to evangelize our solutions and take to the masses
  • Prepare and present quarterly insights to showcase solution development, customer traction, and global performance
  • Align available tools and collateral to simplify the partner training and user-experience for channel/distribution FAEs/sales to accelerate design-win funnel growth. Examples: Selector tools, pitch decks for sales and technical audiences, spot promotional documents, reference designs tools, and compelling technical videos to expand mind-share on Renesas solutions.
  • Support the preparation and execution of Trainings & Campaigns to maximize the design-in of all Renesas product lines and align messaging to match the needs of the audience.
  • Work across Renesas partners to develop business potential analysis, identify gaps, and collaborate in driving plans and roadmaps to achieve growth targets.
  • Establish close relationship with Distributors’ Sales and Marketing organizations, executing Marketing plans leveraging Distributors marketing vehicles, driving proper alignment to vertical and regional teams.
  • Participate in and support QBRs with internal and external sales and marketing distributor teams to review results and identify gaps and identify areas of improvement.




Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Masters is a plus), within a relevant electrical engineering or software/computer engineering discipline.
  • Proven success developing technical materials and marketing programs that motivate & empower revenue growth.
  • Any relevant internship, CO-OP program or industry technical experience with responsibility in Product, Design, Applications or Technical Marketing role is a plus.
  • Knowledge and insight of the Industrial electronics or equipment market is a plus
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and has a drive to win
  • Good project management and interpersonal skills with ability to take initiative in a challenging, fast-paced environment with a broad scope of peers within Renesas.
  • Experience working and leading a project with a cross-functional team and an ability to deliver solutions on schedule.
  • Strong acumen in creating presentations, regular reports and present in a way that is easily understood and actionable with internal stakeholders and distribution partners
  • Driven by an innovative, creative problem-solving approach with a knack for brainstorming and creative solutions to improve the customer experience. Comfortable trying new ways to approach problems and improve solutions.
  • Excellent organization, communication, problem-solving, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Travel required to meet with key channel marketing partners, key customer sites & drive execution of marketing initiatives with close engagement and on-site meetings with key product line partners within Renesas.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional and global teams
  • Experienced MS Office user, advanced in using Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong written and communication skills in English.
