About the RoleThis is a direct employment opportunity with Acuity Analytics, working exclusively within the Kallidus technology team.
As an Associate Technical Lead, you'll lead technical initiatives and help shape Kallidus' learning and talent platforms. We welcome candidates from either a software development or QA/testing background, with responsibilities aligned to your experience and strengths.
You'll work with modern technologies to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions, collaborate across teams, mentor engineers or testers, and contribute directly to product success.
This is a hands-on role where you'll combine technical leadership with active development work. You'll guide the team, drive delivery, support Agile ways of working, and help maintain high engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities- Create a positive team environment with open communication
- Design and review system architecture and engineering solutions
- Drive effective and secure AI adoption within the team
- Line manage engineers, including performance and development
- Set team goals, priorities, and delivery timelines
- Support day-to-day operations and process improvements
- Monitor team performance and report on key metrics
- Ensure security best practices are followed
- Coach, support, and motivate team members
- Resolve issues and encourage effective collaboration
- Contribute hands-on to development activities
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Strong .NET development experience, including web applications and test automation
- Experience with cloud technologies, ideally Azure, and containerisation
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Confident decision-maker and problem solver
- Comfortable challenging ideas and sharing technical expertise
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience within learning, HR, or workforce analytics platforms
- Previous experience in a SaaS or scale-up environment
Skills Required
- Experience in a technical lead, senior engineer, or senior QA/testing role
- Hands-on experience in development or QA/testing with modern tools and technologies
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Comfortable mentoring others and driving technical projects
- Results-driven, proactive, and quality-focused mindset
