Team: The ESG Research team is responsible for delivering Sustainalytics' suite of strategically important ESG research and data products which includes ESG risk ratings, climate and impact solutions, and sustainable finance solutions. Alongside producing high-quality research content, the team is also responsible for continuously developing new research products, providing meaningful insights that help our clients in their investment decisions.
Role: The role manages research activities for a set of analysts conducting risk rating research through different indicators. The position will oversee the output and quality of the research performed by the team. The ideal candidate would communicate clearly, form strong relationships with stakeholders, proactively identify and manage risks while improving the group's performance, productivity, and efficiency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in the selection and recruitment process.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to team members.
- Report team members' progress and performance on a regular basis.
- Monitor quality, in collaboration with the quality control team.
- Organize trainings to stimulate capacity building in the team.
- Implement efficient research processes.
- Participate in internal projects and process improvements.
- Adapts own behavior and supports analysts to perform effectively amidst complexity, constant change, and ambiguity.
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least two-four years of relevant work experience in financial services and/or in a role in which process and quality management skills were required.
- Certifications from relevant trainings such as leadership, communication, project management or quality management (or a willingness to obtain them).
- Excellent planning, project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple workflows within a dynamic work environment.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills.
- Ability to build consensus among team members, surface conflicts and constructively support their resolution.
- Ability to interact and build relationships with senior management.
- Highly structured thinker, who is meticulous and attentive to detail.
- Ability to clearly communicate, monitor and reinforce the vision, goals and objectives for the team in line with the MIRT's mandate.
- Self-starter, problem solver, able to work independently, pragmatic.
- Has intermediate skills in one or more of Excel, Power BI and can use databases to download/extract/analyze/process large amounts of complex data.
