Moog Space and Defense has an important opportunity in WNY Defense for an Associate Systems Engineer to support programs spanning various domains including ground vehicle solutions, naval applications, and tactical missiles

The ideal candidate will perform the conceptual design, analysis, development, and testing of complex systems used across multiple applications. This position requires a high degree of foresight and creativity to anticipate and solve unprecedented engineering problems.

To be considered for the Associate Systems Engineer role, here’s what you will need to bring with you:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Software, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering
  • 0-2 years of experience in a similar systems/design engineering role or previous internship experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated strong technical written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink tools.
  • Must have the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.

As our Associate Systems Engineer, you will make critical contributions by holding responsibility for:

  • Working closely with the internal program teams to provide the systems architecture, interface definition, and requirements validation. 
  • Creating system-level models, models as requirements, and simulations necessary to support solution architectures with customers during all stages of the development efforts.
  • Developing system level requirements, supporting the decomposition of requirements to component levels, and leading the verification of requirements.
  • Communicating on a technical level with customer representatives and suppliers.
  • Supporting the design process within Moog’s program scope.
  • Creating concise reports and proposal write-ups that describe the design decisions and analysis results.
  • Generating and maintaining test and analysis cases for systems and subsystems.
  • Working with other systems engineering team members to generate and maintain traceability of test and analysis cases to requirements.
  • Supporting system or subsystem-level integration and test.
  • Experience in laying out system architectures.
  • Learn from senior staff and apply lessons to assigned tasks.

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $75,000.00–$85,000.00 Annually

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
