Role Description:

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person to join our IT service management team. As an Associate System Engineer, you will assist in the analysis, design, development, and implementation of ServiceNow applications and modules. 

Under the guidance (if needed) of senior BAs, this individual will learn to gather, analyze, and document requirements for various ServiceNow implementations, ensuring that solutions align with business objectives and best practices.

  • Passion for the web, open source development and leading the development in India on web development & analyst aspects

  • 0-2 years  of experience in front end and web solutions

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

PRIMARY:

To be successful in this job, the Developer/Analyst must accomplish the following results:

  • Basic understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) concepts and processes.

  • Familiarity with JavaScript and web technologies (HTML, CSS).

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.

  • Demonstrated strong ability to troubleshoot technical issues.

  • Passion for delivering excellent customer service.

  • Object-oriented programming skills (JavaScript and Java.)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate solutions to technical problems.

  • Ability to work with high-value customer administrators and developers.

GOOD TO HAVE :
  • Completed ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or related training

  • Internship or project experience on ServiceNow or similar platforms

  • Exposure to ServiceNow platform through certification or training.

  • Knowledge of REST APIs and integrations

  • Understanding of Agile Methodology.

Roles & Responsibility

Requirements Gathering Support :

  • Translate complex business needs into clear, concise, and actionable technical specifications.

  • Learn to document functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

  • Support the creation of process flow diagrams, use cases, and other relevant documentation.

ServiceNow Platform Understanding :

  • Develop a foundational understanding of the ServiceNow platform, its core modules (e.g., ITSM, CSM, HRSD, ITBM,etc), and its capabilities.

  • Learn how to navigate the ServiceNow interface and understand basic configuration concepts.

Documentation & Reporting :

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including requirements, design specifications, and test plans.

  • Assist in generating basic reports and dashboards within ServiceNow.

Testing Support :

  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, helping to gather feedback and validate system functionality.

  • Assist in creating test scenarios and test cases.

Collaboration & Communication :

  • Learn to communicate effectively with business stakeholders, developers, and project teams.

  • Participate in team meetings, sprint planning, and other agile ceremonies.

Learning & Development :

  • Actively participate in training programs, self-study, and mentorship to enhance ServiceNow and business analysis skills.

  • Stay updated on new ServiceNow features and industry best practices.
