Description:

As a SAP PP /PP-DS specialist, the candidate should have a good functional knowledge in standard SAP Production modules along with integration with other SAP modules. SAP Production Planning is one of the key modules at IM product “Production Planning”. It deals with planning processes, such as capacity planning, material planning, execution of production order, bill of material and goods movement. The relevant solution capabilities for the product are

- Master Planning

- Demand Management  & Long Term planning

- Capacity Planning 

- Material Requirements Planning 

As a SAP PP/DS specialist, the candidate should have a highly analytical and process-driven approach to optimize manufacturing scheduling and production planning workflows. The ideal candidate will leverage advanced planning tools to synchronize supply with demand, reduce lead times, and enhance overall production throughput. He/She will act as the primary technical authority for the SAP S/4HANA (or ECC) PP/DS implementation.

 He/she should be familiar with the Manufacturing processes. He/She should be comfortable with components of SAP PP such as BOM ( PP-BD-BOM), Production version, Work Center,Routings ,Production Planning Cycle & the concerned dataset ( table structure).

Analyze business requirements, design, implement and deploy SAP S4Hana MPS solutions to achieve defined business goals. Must work with an in house Business team to understand the requirements, follow the standards and governance to deliver the task in a timely manner. Must be self-sufficient to adopt new Enterprise SAP Platforms.

The candidate should have experience working in Project and Application Support Services in an end-user facing position, and he/she should be familiar with Incident Management and Problem Management along with an understanding of Business priority and criticality. He/she should have also worked on Change Management processes. 

The concerned domain is Aircraft Manufacturing and production. The candidate, if selected, will work in an international, distributed and multi-functional team; using an agile mind-set and methodology.

SAP S/4 HANA certification (v1709 or higher) is preferred and would be an added advantage.

Domain experience in the manufacturing industry would be an advantage.

Required Technical Skills:

Hands-on SAP Experience: Proven expertise in the configuration and maintenance of SAP PP/DS settings, specifically focusing on Planning Boards, Alert Monitors, and Deployment processes within the manufacturing environment.

Integration Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of the technical architecture and integration points between PP/DS and SAP IBP, SAP APO, and SAP MM/SD to ensure seamless data flow and process synchronization.

Data Proficiency: Highly analytical approach to interpreting complex dataset table structures; proficiency in SAP Query or report development to support business priority and decision-making is a significant advantage.

Business Acumen: Deep expertise in manufacturing methodologies, including Make-to-Stock vs. Make-to-Order workflows and lean manufacturing principles to achieve defined business goals.

  • Stakeholder Management: Demonstrate the ability to partner with cross-functional stakeholders, communicating technical constraints and business priority clearly and diplomatically to achieve defined goals.

  • Resilience: Maintain a high level of accuracy and focus within a distributed, multi-functional, and high-pressure production environment.

Qualification & Experience: 

Graduate with 2+ years of experience in SAP PP/DS

Skills in manufacturing processes and ability to decide on MRP run

Good problem solving and analytical skills.

Customer facing skill.

Responsibilities

  • He/She will be responsible for all the allocation of all Features/User Stories being deployed in SAP Planning Area. Ability to work and plan work independently and manage workload of the team.

  • He/She needs to have Design thinking Skills and would need to design or configure a product keeping business interests in Priority.

  • Provide best in class level of service to Airbus internal customers.  He/she will be working on SAP Planning project activities.

  • Understand business processes and technical architecture of Airbus application portfolio

  • Perform deep root cause analysis and performance improvement

  • Provide expertise support to the full chain of support

  • He/She will be responsible for the configuration and maintenance of SAP PP/DS settings, ensuring the accuracy of Master Data, PDS (Production Data Structure), and resource capacity planning.

  • Develop and refine heuristics and optimization profiles to resolve resource bottlenecks and minimize setup times.

  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders, including Procurement, Sales, and Shop Floor Management, to align production schedules with volatile market demands.

  • Proactively identify gaps in existing business processes and drive the implementation of SAP best practices to streamline operations.
