Boeing Global Services is seeking an Associate Supply Chain & Logistics Management Specialist to join our dynamic team in Warner Robins, Georgia.
As a Supply Chain & Logistics Management Specialist, you will work directly within a team managing high value AOG (Aircraft on the Ground) MICAP shipments for our USAF Customer. The successful candidate will support and develop processes, strategies, and disciplines related to transportation & logistics services. The candidate will also work on initiation, processing, and after-action requirements of AOG MICAP orders.
This is a dual hybrid role where the qualified candidate will support the C17 AOG MICAP Teams transportation risk mitigation activities as well as serve as a team member managing AOG MICAP customer orders. Daily requirements include providing oversight of service provider's performance and adherence to their contracted obligations. Additionally, you will have responsibility to build collaborative business relationships with functional stakeholders, service providers, and key business partners. Interested individuals should be goal-focused and team oriented while possessing solid leadership skills that inspire top-tier performance which drives innovative solutions.
This is a variable shift where candidates will be expected to work the following schedule as required: 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.; 1:30 p.m. - 12:00 a.m.; or 10:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m. (This is a 24/7 Operation).
Position Responsibilities:
- Support and facilitate a variety of internal process reviews and support services including transportation service provider performance evaluations and related activities for AOG MICAP team
- Respond to postproduction customer supply inquiries and coordinates delivery problem resolution for AOG MICAP team
- Facilitate solutions to various complications that may arise within the Supply Chain & Global Distribution of aircraft parts and components
- Investigate and perform root cause analysis on complex logistics initiatives and recommend business solutions relating to transportation and logistics practices, processes, and procedures
- Perform all activities of order processing, data logging, order tracking, and finalization (closing) of customer requirements as part of the AOG MICAP team
- Develop logistics reports and presentations for business units, programs, and stakeholders
- Analyze material location and initiates redistribution actions for AOG MICAP team
- Analyze carrier performance data for cycle time, cost, and business process review
- Develop and implement effective KPI's to achieve organizational objectives and targets
- Proficient in use of data analytics tools, methods, and processes
- Experience in using ERP/MRP supply chain related applications, as well as supply chain databases
- Industry knowledge of transportation & logistics modes and service levels to include Import/Export requirements, Dangerous Goods regulations, Customs Standards etc.
- Skilled in determining the type, mode, and means carriers will use during the logistic/transportation cycle, example: ground vs air, flatbed vs covered trailer etc.
- Experience in category management related to transportation & logistics industry
- Focus on 1st time quality, cost, and schedule, while displaying a high attention to detail attitude
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Willing to work variable shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- 1+ years of experience working in military logistics and/or working contracts with the U.S. Department of Defense
- 1+ years of experience in data entry
- 1+ years of experience working in military procedures, processes and technical orders
- 1+ years of experience with Supply Chain
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience relative to Transportation, Supply Chain Operation & Logistics industry
- Industry experience in freight logistics, modes and service levels
- Skilled in supply chain risk management mitigation methods, tools and applications
