Associate Staff Engineer, QA Automation (Tosca)

REQUIREMENTS:

• Total Experience: 5+ years
• Strong experience in TOSCA, Java, API Testing & Rest Assured.
• Hands-on expertise in TOSCA automation for UI, API, Mobile, and DB testing.
• Experience in TOSCA Test Case Design, Test Execution, Requirement Mapping, and Test Data Management (TDM).
• Ability to design, maintain, and optimize TOSCA automation frameworks using reusable Test Step Blocks, Test Case Templates, and Components.
• Strong hands-on experience with Tosca Commander for functional and automation testing.
• Experience in API and DB testing using Tosca, including SQL queries and backend validations.
• Working knowledge of SQL and database integrity testing.
• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., LoadRunner, JMeter, etc.).
• Experience in payment domain testing, including reconciliation workflows and end-to-end payment flows.
• Knowledge of Model-Based Test Automation (MBTA) concepts and best practices.
• Strong understanding of Tosca modules such as XScan, TBox, API Scan, DEX, and integration with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Bamboo).
• Exposure to Distributed Execution (DEX) and parallel test execution in TOSCA.
• Experience integrating Tosca with ALM/QTest/Jira for requirements, execution, and reporting.
• Proficiency in scripting with Java, C#, JavaScript, Python, VBScript, or similar languages.
• Familiarity with automation/testing tools like UFT, TestComplete, Katalon Studio, Appium, Coded UI, Protractor, Selenium.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit, NUnit, TestNG.
• Hands-on with Cucumber/SpecFlow for BDD and writing test scenarios in Gherkin.
• Solid understanding of test design techniques, test lifecycle, and defect management.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, develop, and execute end-to-end automation using TOSCA across UI, API, DB, and Mobile.
• Build scalable and maintainable TOSCA automation frameworks ensuring reusability and efficiency.
• Develop and maintain automated test cases using Tosca Commander.
• Utilize Tosca modules for API testing, DB testing, and data integrity validation.
• Leverage Tosca Exploratory Testing Agent for unscripted exploratory testing.
• Conduct Test Case Design workshops and enforce best practices across the QA team.
• Set up and manage Tosca workspaces, TDM services, and distributed execution agents.
• Use Tosca for validating backend processes, SQL queries, and database behaviour.
• Develop and execute API tests in Tosca with proper request/response validation.
• Perform performance testing using LoadRunner or similar tools; define benchmarks and analyze system behavior under load.
• Validate payment flows and reconciliation logic; ensure transactional accuracy and identify discrepancies.
• Align and adhere to overall test strategy, timelines, and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and DevOps teams to implement continuous testing pipelines using TOSCA.
• Understand functional and non-functional requirements to design test approaches and automation coverage.
• Participate in code/design reviews, ensuring alignment of automation with project goals.
• Support UAT and production rollouts through regression testing and automation packs.
• Create, validate, and manage WBS and effort estimates for assigned tasks/modules.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex automation issues in TOSCA and other tools.
• Conduct POCs on new TOSCA features (Vision AI, BI testing, API enhancements) and recommend adoption.
• Generate, maintain, and share comprehensive test execution reports.
• Support QA lead in consolidating required reports and independently handle responsibilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and report status, risks, and metrics.
• Provide mentorship, constructive feedback, and guidance to junior team members.
• Continuously identify opportunities for process efficiency and automation improvements.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
