The Position

Associate Specialist Buyer is responsible for planning and coordinating material availability and production schedules to ensure smooth operations, meet KPIs, and support continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Review material availability on weekly production plan and schedule.

  • Perform inventory analysis and input on potential discard & availability materials for supporting production planning to optimize operation costs/efficiencies.

  • Interact with internal and external customers to ensure timely execution of production plans and ensure customer service and customer satisfaction goals are met.

  • Interacts with CoE or SME if required related with all of issue for production planning.

  • Monitor and ensure timely reporting on KPI (i.e., customer service level, OTIF, ICSL etc.).

  • Supporting regular team communication and providing continuous feedback.

  • Perform planning activities for incoming material with ensuring on the KPI achievements.

  • Perform planning activities in outbound shipment with focused on market prioritization and KPI achievements

  • Maintaining technical skills and knowledge up to date and promote a culture of continuous learning.

  • Executing production plan in planning area activities. k. Supporting production execution in planning area activities.

  • Provides data to identify and facilitate Continuous Improvement opportunities.

  • Responsible to keep abreast site safety & quality requirement and specific compliance policy and standards at daily work.

  • Demonstrates quality leadership behavior, promotes a quality culture, and proactively supports cGMP compliance.

  • Promote the site SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment) culture, including the interdependency safety culture.

  • As back up for Buyer Component.

Required Education, Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in business studies and/or economics and industrial engineering.

  • Fresh graduate is also acceptable with excellent knowledge of supply chain management.

  • Experience 2 years in production planning and material management is preferable.

  • Learning from routine work assignments to develop professional skillset at entry level

  • Communicates information, asks questions and checks for understanding.

  • Accountable for technical contribution to project team or sub-team.

  • Works only with established procedures, technologies, and methodologies.

  • Begin/willingness to learn about end-to-end supply chain processes.

  • Begin/willingness to learn about customer/channel/market insight.

  • Begin/willingness to learn about relationship management.

  • Begin/willingness to learn about supply chain risk and compliance.

  • Begin/willingness to learn about supply chain metrics & improvement.

  • Begin/willingness to learn about information systems knowledge.

  • Begin/willingness to learn about sales & operation planning.

  • Begin/willingness to learn about network planning.

  • Begin/willingness to learn about master production scheduling.

  • Begin/willingness to learn about inventory management processes.

  • Having knowledge in use of SAP & APO- Good in English both written and verbal for day-to-day communication.

  • Preferably Six Sigma (demonstrated knowledge of Operational Excellence tools and methodology) qualification APICS, CPIM and/or CSCP and/or CPM (Certification in Purchasing Management) certification if highly desirable.

  • Having knowledge of cGMP in manufacturing/packaging operations, operational excellence, and materials handling systems.
