Position Overview
The Global Strategic Sourcing Associate is responsible for ensuring assurance of supply, superior cost management, and strong stewardship in support of internal and external customers. This role includes both sourcing responsibilities and system‑related transactional activities. The position supports market research, supplier identification, data analysis, cost structure comparison, and supply continuity evaluation. Additionally, the Sourcing Associate will manage key system tasks such as price updates, vendor registration, invoice discrepancy resolution, purchase order management, and order tracking.
The role provides daily operational and project‑related support as needed and reports to a senior member of the sourcing team, supporting 1–3 managers or directors. This position focuses on essential day‑to‑day activities required to run the business effectively.
Primary Responsibilities
Sourcing (0–10%)Conduct preliminary market research.
Identify and screen potential suppliers.
Gather and compare supplier cost structures.
Evaluate risks related to supply continuity.
Support negotiations through data analysis and supplier capability assessments.
Provide analytical support for sourcing initiatives.
Assist with data gathering, organization, and reporting.
Support supplier reviews and internal stakeholder communication.
Help prepare information for negotiations, supplier assessments, and internal presentations.
Update pricing in systems as needed.
Resolve invoice discrepancies.
Manage vendor registration processes.
Create and support purchase orders.
Track orders and maintain documentation.
Provide general operational support to managers/directors and the broader sourcing team.
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma and 5+ years of relevant experience, or a related Associate’s degree.
Strong desire and demonstrated ability to learn quickly.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Any additional training required for proficiency

Preferred Requirements
Associate’s degree or higher.
Experience working with business systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
