As an Associate Solution Engineer, you’ll play a key role in delivering technical expertise and building relationships with prospects and customers as they explore the Snowflake AI Data Cloud. You’ll work alongside experienced team members, contributing to a variety of customer engagements, from technical evaluations to inspiring future-state architectures. This role blends technical problem-solving, collaboration, and customer focus, making it an exciting step for someone looking to grow into a technical customer-facing role.

What You’ll Do
  • Engage Customers: Present Snowflake's technology, vision, and roadmap to audiences ranging from technical contributors to business executives, and connect technical solutions to business outcomes.

  • Drive Technical Wins: Work hands-on with prospects and customers across the sales cycle, from tailored demos and proofs of concept to solution design and implementation. Show the business value of Snowflake at every stage.

  • Build Technical Champions: Build trusted relationships with customer stakeholders and develop technical champions who help advance deals and support long-term success.

  • Stay at the Cutting Edge: Keep deep, current knowledge of Snowflake's platform, industry trends, and competing or complementary technologies, and know how to position Snowflake against them. Use hands-on labs, demos, and Snowflake's learning resources to keep your skills sharp.

  • Collaborate Across Snowflake: Work closely with Account Executives, Marketing, Product Management, and Engineering to support customer success and share field feedback that improves Snowflake's products and messaging.

  • Partner with the Ecosystem: Work with technology and implementation partners on joint architectures, account strategies, and initiatives that help customers succeed.

  • Represent Snowflake: Serve as a Snowflake ambassador at industry and customer events.

  • Grow with the Team: Learn from fellow Sales Engineers and from wins and losses, take advantage of mentorship and on-the-job learning, and help each other get better.

 
What You Bring
  • Foundational Experience: Some experience in a technical role (e.g., solution engineering, solutions architecture, or software development), preferably in SaaS, data analytics, or cloud technology.

  • Willingness to Learn: A passion for solving problems and eagerness to grow your technical and business skills.

  • Technical Aptitude: Basic familiarity with SQL and/or Python, or a strong willingness to learn.

  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, both written and verbal.

  • Customer Focus: A desire to understand customer challenges and deliver meaningful solutions.

  • Team Player: A collaborative approach to working with peers, partners, and customers.

What Sets You Apart (Preferred Qualifications)

While not required, experience in any of the following areas is a plus:

  • Working with modern data technologies like Snowflake, Databricks, Fabric, BigQuery etc (including CI/CD tooling, Spark, containers, DevOps tools, orchestration tools, Git).

  • Understanding public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their services.

  • Familiarity with data science, machine learning workflows, or governance tools.

Compensation & Benefits
  • On Target Earnings (OTE) Range including base + commission bonus: $140,000 - $183,750

  • Snowflake offers competitive base salary, variable compensation, equity, and comprehensive benefits including 401(k), health/dental/vision, flexible PTO, and professional development budget.
