A little about the role:

Our Engineering development team is looking for you, an innovative engineer with a passion for software engineering to play a crucial role in developing, maintaining and implementing software functionality in a given product. Your high performance code directly enables our next-generation cloud-native, scalable security products that protect the world’s data. With our industry leading Security Service Edge (SSE) and Cloud Access Security Broker, we’re changing the way companies think about securing their most valuable assets, in the cloud.
In this role, you can expect to:

● Write code for simple to complex components of a product, focusing on implementation.
● Collaborate with team members or other groups in writing functional, design, and interface specifications and prototypes.
● Develop, maintain and implement scalable, flexible and user-friendly software modules under supervision or guidance of more senior development team members.
● Develop compute/memory efficient solutions that maintain system responsiveness under normal/peak processing
● Use distributed computing to validate and process large volumes of data.
● Continuously scale our systems for additional users/transactions, reducing/eliminating latency.
● Participate in the execution of code to patch as necessary for fixes and enhancements.
● Ensure the maintainability and quality of code.
 

To fly high in this role, you have:

● 2 + years of programming experience in an enterprise-scale environment, with
Java/Python or similar technology
● Demonstrated ability to develop code in high-volume applications and large data sets
● Working knowledge of TCP/IP protocol stack, HTTP, DNS, and other related protocols
● Demonstrated code design, profiling and verification skills
● Working knowledge of data structures, algorithms and designing for performance, scalability and availability

● Demonstrated knowledge and working experience on AngularJS or other Javascript framework
● Knowledge and experience with SQL or relational databases
● Experience in designing and building multithreaded distributed systems
● Experience in agile software development practices and DevOps
It would be great if you also have:
● Development experience in networking, wireless and/or cybersecurity applications
