Associate Software Engineer

As an Associate Software Engineer in Research and Development, you’ll design, test, and deploy innovative software systems for critical infrastructure that support everyday life, from critical, life-saving operations to everyday tasks, like flipping a light switch.

This job might be for you if: 

• You have a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science of equivalent
• 0 – 2 years of Experience/knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
  • Embedded systems firmware development
  • Real Time Operating systems
  • C, C++ and assembly languages
  • Object-Oriented design
  • Real-time firmware design
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
• Self-motivated with continuous desire to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Software development process (Agile, Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket, etc.)
• Software development tools (Cross-compiler IDE like Eclipse, IAR Workbench, VS Code, etc,)
• Source control tools (Git, ClearCase, etc.)
• Digital, analog and microprocessor circuitry
• Communication protocols
• Industrial controls
• 3-phase electric power systems

Salary Range Data

Associate Software Engineer$$ 66,900 – 104,500

Software Engineer $$ 76,100 – 118,900

Development Lead Engineer$$ 100,200 – 157,000

Our pay ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
