About the team


The App Portfolio Team is the first product maintenance portfolio team here at the Adaptavist Group. That means we will be working with multiple products across our portfolio. Our goal is to ensure that customers get established Kolekti products that are secure, performant and kept up-to-date with the latest changes by Atlassian.

You will be working in a new global team consisting of 4 team members and have the opportunity to work across various teams within the business.



About the role


This role exists within the new App Portfolio Team at Kolekti. Our mission is to contribute our established apps and ensure they continue to deliver value effectively to our customers. You will assist to that mission by delivering secure, compliant and robust solutions to a large customer base. You’ll be responsible for maintaining established apps within the portfolio.


You’ll be working with internal stakeholders and customers to provide effective solutions. As well as being customer focused, you’ll also collaborate with other Engineers to improve and automate our delivery pipeline.



What you'll be doing


Analysis & Investigation 

- Perform root cause analysis to acknowledge key, underlying causes of customer issues

- Debugging technical issues and formulate hypotheses

- Perform impact analysis and report on vulnerabilities

- Communicate with customers and stakeholders to gain a deeper understanding of escalated technical issues


Engineering

- Write clean, readable code

- Write robust automated tests

- Review other engineers code for quality and security

- Collaborate with other Engineers in design and implementation of high quality solutions

- Contribute to delivery of improved software delivery pipeline


Team

- Help foster an open atmosphere within the team

- Support and guide colleagues without judgment

- Embracing a continuous improvement mindset



What we're looking for


- Demonstrable capability in one object oriented programming language (Java, C++, Python, C#, Typescript)

- Basic knowledge of Object Oriented paradigm

- Basic knowledge of relational database concepts

- Demonstrable capability in one relational database management system (e.g. Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, IBM DB2, SQLite, H2)

- A basic knowledge of how to use web languages (HTML, CSS, JS)

- Some experience with a source control system (Git, Subversion, Perforce)

- Willingness to learn (particularly Java if you’re not familiar with it already)

- Interest in helping and encouraging colleagues

- Familiarity with Java or Typescript is desirable

- Experience working with CI/CD is an added advantage

- Experience with React JS is ideal

- Any knowledge or experience using Docker is desirable

- Any AWS training or experience is an added value
