As an Associate Mobile Software Engineer, you will be part of the Core Experiences team that builds the Disney theme parks mobile application platform for Disneyland, Walt Disney World and Hong Kong Disneyland. These applications are used directly by park Guests to enhance their visits and make their experience as magical as possible. You will manage individual mobile project priorities, deadlines, technical contributions and deliverables, while also designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing mobile software solutions.
What You Will Do
- Assist in contributing to the design, development, testing, and deployment of mobile applications (Flutter, iOS, Android)
- Implement features, enhancements, and bug fixes with guidance from senior team members
- Participate in code reviews to learn best practices and improve code quality
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, and QA
- Support troubleshooting, debugging, and issue resolution
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Continuously learn and apply new technologies, tools, and development practices
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Basic understanding of mobile or software development concepts
- Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., Kotlin, Swift, Dart, Java)
- Understanding of software development fundamentals (e.g data structures, APIs, debugging)
- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn in a team environment
- Ability to work effectively in an Agile, collaborative setting
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
- 1–3 years of experience in software development (internships or academic projects acceptable)
- Exposure to mobile development (Flutter, iOS, or Android)
- Familiarity with Github version control systems
- Experience with APIs, JSON, or backend services
- Experience with tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Interest in building consumer-facing applications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience
