Impact

As an Associate Software Engineer - Backend Developer (Java) with 1-3 years of experience, you will play a key role in designing and developing cloud-based solutions for Pitney Bowes' small and medium-sized customer base. You will lead the development of SaaS-based offerings, collaborating closely with architects, UX experts, product managers, and fellow developers. Your expertise in building highly scalable cloud solutions in an agile environment will be critical. This role requires strong hands-on development skills and staying up to date with the latest technology stacks. The Job

• Develop optimized, scalable, and modular backend solutions using Java.

• Design and implement high-performance microservices architectures.

• Integrate backend components with various web services and databases.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet customer needs.

• Evaluate and integrate new technologies into existing frameworks and solutions.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in backend development, with at least 2 years of experience in Java.

• Strong expertise in microservices architecture and API development.

• Experience working with SQL/NoSQL databases (preferably MongoDB), with the ability to write and optimize complex queries.

• Good understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins, etc.).

• Hands-on experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, etc.).

Good to Have

• Working knowledge of Java-based systems.

• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Sumo Logic, Splunk, Dynatrace, etc.).

• Familiarity with telemetry tools (Prometheus, etc.).
