What We Are Looking For:

We are searching for a talented Quality Assurance Analyst to join the RDN software engineering team and be on the front lines of developing solutions and products in the automotive remarketing industry. The right candidate is passionate about building technology products for customers while enabling our business to run more efficiently. Someone who understands the big picture but enjoys diving into the details and delivering quality products.

The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for validating requirements in support of the team’s continuous exploration and development of RDN’s digital products. In this role, you will support the Product Owners and Developers in testing the functional solutions to achieve the product vision and deliver working software. Your primary deliverables include refined user stories, defects and data analysis, testing of prototypes and workflows, and release support. You will interact with end users and business SMEs as well as product engineers to deliver great products.

You Will:

  • Assist the Development team from the viewpoint of software quality and test cases, executing manual test cases and learning test automation

  • Compose quality user stories with detailed acceptance criteria for functional and nonfunctional requirements 

  • Assist the Agile Delivery Manager, Engineering team, Business team  in refining the user stories, ensuring the acceptance criteria are understood by the development teams 

  • Assist the Engineering team in validating that acceptance criteria are met, and business objectives are achieved  

  • Participate in meetings and communications with internal and external teams to identify test and identify integrations and system-to-system flows 

  • Collect and analyze a variety of data and, with guidance, identify key themes and validate assumptions regarding product features

  • Help to triage, diagnose, and solve production system software problems

  • Participating in cross-discipline collaboration with team members including the product owners, designers, and developers

Who You Will Work With:

  • Reporting to the Agile Delivery Manager, this role will collaborate with the development team, Business Analysts, Project Leads, Project Managers, Architects.

  • You will also interact with UX designers to ensure a seamless user experience.

  • Additionally, you may have exposure to stakeholders from other departments, such as DevOps, and data engineering.

Must Haves:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent related experience required

  • 1-2 years of experience in business analysis and software development lifecycle preferred 

  • Excellent attention to detail and a good eye for quality

  • Able to create and carry out test plans to make sure all goals are reached 

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities 

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to clearly articulate ideas and comfortable interacting with end users, business partners, and technical individuals

  • Excellent time management skills, ability to work collaboratively, but also able to think independently and work autonomously

  • Extensive knowledge of software and database testing including designing and manipulating test data, validating batch jobs and experience with writing SQL queries 

Nice to Haves:

  • Familiarity with testing tools for APIs such as Postman and test automation tools such as Playwright

  • Experience working with Agile software development methodologies such as SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban is a plus 

  • Some familiarity with product management tool (e.g., Jira) is a plus

  • Certifications in relevant testing technologies
