People Inc. is hiring a full-time Associate Social Media Editor to join the Paid Memberships team. This role will be responsible for the creation, execution, and optimization of social media content to grow and engage audiences for a new membership product. Reporting to the Head of Marketing and partnering with the Social Media Director, this person will play a key role in building social programs that drive awareness, engagement, and conversion to membership.

The ideal candidate is deeply immersed in social media trends and creator content, with a strong understanding of how content drives audience growth and engagement. They will write compelling copy, edit short-form video, and manage creator partnerships to engage followers and convert them into members.

Hybrid 3x a week- New York

In-office Expectations: This position is hybrid in-office, with the ability to work remotely for up to 2 days per week.

About The Team | The Team and/or Brand.

The Paid Memberships team is focused on developing compelling offerings for loyal fans of People Inc.’s iconic brands and building these audiences within each program. This centralized team collaborates closely with brand leaders across the organization.

About The Positions Contributions:

Weight % Accountabilities, Actions and Expected Measurable Results

30 % Execute content publishing and optimization across social channels, including editing short-form video and writing captions and copy 

20% Manage and maintain daily and monthly social content calendars, aligning storytelling with broader marketing priorities 

20% Manage and brief creators and coordinate scheduling of creator content for the paid membership program

15% Partner with cross-functional teams to brief, develop, and execute social content 

15% Analyze channel and campaign performance, delivering regular reports with actionable insights and recommendations


The Role’s Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

Experience:

  • A social media expert with 2-3 years of experience in social media marketing or a related field

  • Well versed in social algorithms, trends, and best practices

  • Strategic and able to translate brand goals into engaging social content

  • A strong analytical thinker with the ability to turn performance data into growth strategies

  • Flexible and adaptive to changing priorities; able to organize, multi-task, and prioritize workload to meet deadlines

  • A proactive, highly collaborative self-starter that’s comfortable partnering across teams and levels

  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, startup-style environment with shifting priorities

Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications and Abilities:

  • Deep understanding of all social platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.

  • Thorough knowledge of the digital media landscape, with a special emphasis on the Home & Food categories

  • Understanding of digital metrics and revenue KPIs

  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams

  • Collaborative and cooperative work style

  • Creative thinker with superb strategic sensibilities

Pay Range

Salary: New York: $67,000.00 - $75,000.00

The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of People Inc's total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives. In addition, People Inc. provides to employees (and their eligible family members) a variety of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, prescription drug coverage, unlimited paid time off (PTO), adoption or surrogate assistance, donation matching, tuition reimbursement, basic life insurance, basic accidental death & dismemberment, supplemental life insurance, supplemental accident insurance, commuter benefits, short term and long term disability, health savings and flexible spending accounts, family care benefits, a generous 401K savings plan with a company match program, 10-12 paid holidays annually, and generous paid parental leave (birthing and non-birthing parents), all of which may vary depending on the specific nature of your employment with People Inc. and your work location.
