Our Canadian operations, Canaccord Genuity Corp., is currently looking for an organized, detail and deadline-oriented individual to join our Securities Services team.

Responsibilities:

• Attend to the securities counter, handling the intake of physical certificates and cheques.

• Respond to client and broker inquiries in a timely manner.

• Process journals for reconciliation of inter-branch transit deliveries of physical certs.

• Check and receive in physical securities from private placement closings and process unit split exchanges.

• Receive stock certificates into both client and control accounts

• Escrow Release processing

• Key DRS deposits into CDS and DTC

• Perform additional responsibilities or projects as assigned;

•  Maintaining an openness to cross-train and learn other areas of the Securities Services Department in order to  provide support where necessary.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 - 3 years of financial industry experience.

• Previous experience handling physical stock certificates, warrants, and DRS is an asset

• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.

• Strong customer service skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines is essential.

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and within a team (team player perspective is key).

• Hard-working, positive, dedicated and prepared to work overtime when necessary. 

• Strong level of MS Outlook, Excel and Word required.

• Familiarity with Dataphile is an advantage.
