YOU WILL BE:
The Sales Experience Manager, Shoes leads with a focus on customer service and relationship-building, embodying Bergdorf Goodman's values of Excellence, Imagination & Graciousness. Driving department performance, partnering across teams, and inspiring a high-performing, customer-first culture, this leader ensures seamless sales experience representing Bergdorf Goodman.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Champion the vision and culture of Bergdorf Goodman while balancing brand loyalty to both BG and the vendor
Increase sales growth and overall department performance with company vision and values, partnering with leaders
Oversee all merchandise-related operations, including presentation standards, returns, damages, and vendor/merchant communication
Lead team execution across department functions, identifying and addressing risks or roadblocks
Contribute to store-wide strategic goals by establishing departmental priorities and building aligned projects
Partner with Buyers to review business performance and implement action plans to improve results
Collaborating with Client Development Leads to establish and execute client engagement strategies
Analyze customer behavior, trends, and feedback—both internal and external—to inform and adapt department strategies (e.g., focus programs)
Plan and manage the departmental budget, ensuring adherence to expense guidelines while maximizing revenue
Enforce audit compliance and uphold department and stockroom operational controls.
Lead, develop, and manage team performance to achieve business and service objectives
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
4–6 years of relevant experience, in luxury retail or fashion
4-year degree
Proven track record of achieving business goals
Experience in building, leading, motivating, and coaching high-performing teams
A collaborative, “win together” mindset
Basic proficiency with MS Office Product Suite, advanced proficiency preferred
Certain roles may require standing, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting and carrying up to 10 pounds
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Comfortable working in a remote environment
