Associate Sales Engineer

Locations: Jacksonville, FL | Hybrid

About the Role

The Associate Sales Engineer at Advent Software, Inc. will support the sales team by providing technical expertise and product demonstrations to prospective and existing clients. This role involves understanding client needs, showcasing Advent's solutions, and contributing to the sales process through technical validation and support.

How You Will Make an Impact 

  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand client requirements and develop tailored technical solutions.
  • Conduct compelling product demonstrations and presentations, highlighting features and benefits relevant to client needs.
  • Provide technical support during the sales cycle, including answering product-related questions, addressing technical concerns, and resolving pre-sales technical issues
  • Prepare and deliver proof-of-concept engagements and pilot programs for prospective clients.
  • Assist in the creation of technical proposals, RFPs, and other sales collateral.
  • Stay up-to-date with Advent's product suite, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Gather and relay client feedback to product management and development teams for continuous improvement.
  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and webinars as a technical representative.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, Business, or a related technical field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a technical support, pre-sales, or financial services role.
  • Strong understanding of financial services technology, including investment management, portfolio accounting, or wealth management platforms.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly and effectively.
  • Problem-solving aptitude and a proactive approach to addressing client needs.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to travel occasionally for client meetings and industry events
