Job Description

  

Position Summary:

Teledyne FLIR is seeking an Associate Sales Engineer to support sales growth across Latin America. This position will provide technical and commercial support to customers, channel partners, and the sales organization across FLIR's Security, Industrial Automation, and Optical Gas Imaging portfolios. 

Working closely with Sales Engineers, Account Managers, Customer Service, Operations, and Channel Partners, the Associate Sales Engineer will support customer opportunities from initial engagement through order fulfillment and post-sale support. 

This role is intended as a developmental position for individuals interested in technical sales, account management, channel management, and commercial leadership careers. The position was created to support Latin America growth initiatives and expand technical sales coverage throughout the region.  

This position provides direct exposure to: technical solution selling, customer engagement and account development, channel partner management, forecasting and pipeline management, commercial operations and business processes, cross-functional collaboration across Sales, Operations, Customer Service, Logistics, and Finance. Successful candidates may progress into Sales Engineer, Territory Account Manager, Channel Manager, or other commercial leadership positions. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support technical sales activities throughout Latin America. 

  • Assist with product demonstrations, evaluations, and customer presentations. 

  • Respond to customer and channel partner technical inquiries. 

  • Support opportunity qualification, pipeline development, and account planning activities. 

  • Maintain customer and opportunity information within CRM systems. 

  • Coordinate with Sales Operations, Customer Service, Logistics, Technical Support, Finance, and other internal teams to support customer requirements. 

  • Assist with forecasting, CRM hygiene, sales reporting, and business reviews. 

  • Support channel partner enablement, trade shows, customer visits, and training activities. 

  • Participate in cross-functional commercial activities to gain exposure to sales operations, order fulfillment, customer support, and business processes. 

  • Travel as required to support customers and partners throughout the region. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Physics, Industrial Technology, Business, or related field. 

  • Fluency in Spanish and English. 

  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. 

  • Willingness to travel throughout Latin America. 

  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting customers, distributors, or technical products. 

  • Knowledge of industrial automation, security systems, instrumentation, sensing technologies, or related industries. 

  • Portuguese language proficiency. 

  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
