About the role:

MUFG’s Japanese Corporate Banking Department provides banking and financial services to support businesses of Japanese companies operating in Australia.

Our customer relationships are typically a part of global relationship networks that originated in Japan. We provide our services to our customers not only to achieve their business goals in domestic markets but also to help integrate in their global growth.

Our services includes lending, deposits, FX and other market and derivative products, banking transactions using an online platform, asset managements and import/export finance.

In your role as Associate, Relationship Manager you will be required to build strong relationships with our customers and increase banking activities in Japanese Corporate Banking Department.

What you’ll be doing:

• Ensuring financial targets are met across various types of banking services
• Control and manage costs and risks to improve return on assets
• Proactively provide information on projects and services to the customer
• Facilitate a high quality and impeccable customer experience
• Understand banking and finance needs of a customer and provide suitable proposal to achieve a win-win outcome
• Internal and external communication directly and through relevant departments on customer related matters
• Proactive involvement in a team environment
• Facilitate opinions of relevant departments

What we are looking for:

• 3+ years of experience in corporate banking and finance with previous experience in a relationship management role
• Degree in Banking, Commerce, Finance, Accounting discipline, accounting qualification preferred
• Previous experience in sales and marketing with a sound knowledge of banking products and a demonstrated ability to manage corporate customers
• Experience working with global customers preferred
• Good communication skills to report the state of financial condition using clear and precise descriptions

• MS office experience with key capabilities in Excel, Word and Powerpoint
• Strong communication skills with ability to influence others
