Role Overview:
The operator will be responsible for monitoring tote computer operations and normal day end reports as well as the monitoring of the hardware terminal events providing notifications to onsite technicians. This role is essential for managing the back-end operations of our on-track terminals, ensuring seamless wagering experiences for our clients and customers.
What You'll Do:
- Manage European/US totes, overseeing the daily operations and ensuring all systems run smoothly.
- Responsible for input of all information to the system; including daily race cards and advanced betting cards, and for making any manual adjustments required ensuring that the system operates properly.
- Loads horseracing and greyhound racing race card information in multiple sites and mobile devices.
- Perform daily system start and stop and session management.
- Link with specific hosts/providers to receive accurate card data and enable wagering for all participating customers.
- Facilitate connections between various clients and associations to enable commingling capabilities.
- Initiates and maintains inter track connectivity (ITSP links) for purposes of data and pool transfer; monitors them subsequently for timely pool merging.
- Confirm imports are connected and ready to transfer data.
- Coordinate with racetracks to facilitate the uploading of race cards upon request.
- Address client and web-related inquiries through multiple communication platforms.
- Handle ad-hoc tasks, including the management of large Raceday events.
- Maintain high standards of customer service while addressing and supporting any special requirements, ensuring customer needs are met efficiently and effectively.
- Oversee the work of other operators, ensuring that all operational checklists are updated and all BAU tasks are completed on schedule for the shift.
- Monitor all communication channels and keep track/relay all updates to the team. Proactively provide reminders of crucial tasks to minimize disruptions to BAU.
- Ability to work on 24/7 roster on a rotational basis (overnight shifts included).
