Job TitleInvestment Associate – Rabo Investments Ventures Job DescriptionAs Rabobank seeks to Act on Climate and Value Nature, you will invest in and support early-stage ventures in the Food & AgTech and related spaces. This provides an opportunity to contribute to systemic change while leveraging the knowledge and network of Rabobank.

As an Investment Associate, you play a key role in supporting the senior team members throughout the entire investment process. You help build a strong deal pipeline, analyse investment opportunities, and stay involved in portfolio management. This includes attending conferences, conducting introductory meetings with startups, and coordinating due diligence processes.
Evaluate investment opportunities in early-stage ventures
Support the structuring and execution of investment deals
Contribute to strategic portfolio management of existing investments
€150 million mandate and 17 portfolio companies today
36 or 40 hours per week in a dynamic, international environment
Support the full investment process from sourcing to exit, including due diligence and stakeholder management.
Analyze market trends and technologies, built new investment thesis and assess high-potential startups.
Maintain relationships with co-investors, startups, and internal stakeholders within Rabobank to build network and deal flow.
You’ll be working within the Venture team at Rabo Investments, report to the Investment Director and collaborate closely with other associates. Venture Capital is one of the four Investment teams. Around 3 years' experience in a transaction-driven investment environment, while experience in venture capital and a technical background is a strong plus
Demonstrated interest in startups, technology and sustainability
Analytical skills with experience in market research and due diligence
You have an entrepreneurial, curious mindset: you are results-oriented, driven by strong conviction, and have commercial acumen
You build and nurture relationships and promote collaboration and teamwork
You are currently living and allowed to work in the EU. Fluency in English is a must; Dutch is a plus but not required
