Platinum Group Metal Services (PGMS) is a leading refiner and recycler of precious group metals. The growing demand for low carbon and responsibly sourced products is creating growth opportunities in critical metals recycling and secondary refining, and as the world’s largest precious metals recycler, PGMS is a key player in the circular economy.

The Associate Quality Systems Engineer assists in the administration and improvement of the site’s Quality Management System (QMS) and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to help ensure processes and procedures are established, implemented, maintained and in alignment with ISO 9001 standards. The Associate Quality Systems Engineer assists with day-to-day support for product or raw material disposition as well as with the review of associated documentation as required.

Your responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the QMS sharepoint, ensuring its proper configuration and functionality, submitting DWP tickets as needed
  • Support internal and external audits of the QMS, ensuring compliance and identifying areas for improvement
  • Ensure the QMS and related processes comply with relevant standards (ISO9001:2015) and internal policies
  • Manage and control quality-related documentation, including SOP’s, Training Materials, and other records
  • Develop and deliver training on quality systems and procedures
  • Other related Quality Assurance projects as assigned
  • Primary Backup to quality records technician
  • Manage and maintain Quality non-conformance database (QCBD), including admin functions, CAR creation, escalation of CAR closure actions, and NCMR disposition
  • Support 4CP structured problem solving as assigned actions

Requirements for the role:

  • Minimum Education Required – Associate degree
  • 1 plus years’ experience in a quality assurance role or in a manufacturing environment desirable
  • Comprehensive knowledge of ISO 9001 desirable
  • Relevant computer skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, QCBD, MS Sharepoint, A-EDMS, Power BI, KBM)
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, time manage and be adaptable
  • Flexible and able to adapt to company growth and evolving responsibilities
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
