As an Associate Technical Program Manager you will collaborate cross-functionally to support and successfully execute our programs. You will benefit from working as part of our global team committed to enabling success for all of Akamai.

As an Associate Program Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining accurate, up-to-date system data and documentation to ensure clarity and informed decision-making across all active projects
  • Identifying program collaborative opportunities across projects within the department
  • Exercising written and verbal communication and listening skills to support clarity, trust, and well-coordinated project execution
  • Showing initiative, inquiring thoughtfully, engaging in teamwork discussions, rapidly learning from experienced staff, and actively contributing within a group setting
  • Tracking, following up on project dependencies, and communicating status to leadership and Akamai stakeholders
  • Ensuring effective communications with stakeholders to plan activities, identify and manage dependencies for high visibility projects

  • Demonstrate 0-2 of Program/Project Management experience with relevant expertise in fields like Computer Science, Information Technology, or Data Science.
  • Have experience in process improvement - whether in a business or technical environment
  • Be passionate about learning program management techniques
  • Demonstrate a passion for excellence through sound judgment, solid decision making and contingency planning
  • Utilize AI tools (e.g., Claude code, Gemini) and big data tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) effectively in operations.
  • Utilize project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) with familiarity and proficiency.
