Role purpose
This role is within the Design capability for Finance on the cloud under Transformation Family. Requirement Analysis & Design team is a team formed under change delivery and this role is expected to support Finance in the cloud design & implementation work India. The team consist of 30-40 Business analysts who are Design business analyst with techno-functional skills and subject matter experts in Liquidity reporting/ ALCM domain.
There are quarterly/monthly releases planned for the current production system and the Requirement & design team is involved in requirement analysis, functional solution design, requirements translation into deliverables, delivery tracking during the release and support the program/project manager.

Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities
The principal responsibility of the Business Analysis job category is to manage and execute analysis activity for one or more projects, programmes of Liquidity Reporting. The role holder may be in a variety of areas of HSBC, they may be in projects as well as in established BAU teams.
It is possible that the Business Analyst will work on multiple projects, programmes or value streams simultaneously. Primary responsibilities & accountability includes the following-
· Lead cloud requirements (L1 & L2- Mandatory regulatory requirement, system enhancements, output requirements)
· Work on finding the optimal design solution of the requirements by interacting with different stakeholders.
· Ensuring all the requisite project documents (functional designs, L2 solution, technical design, etc) are prepared & maintained.
· Involved in the various stages of Change Delivery cycle (design, testing, implementation).
· Engage with stakeholders to ensure they understand the design/functionality of the changes.
· Engage with the stakeholders in obtaining the sign off the requisite changes.
· Ensure all the project related risks are highlighted to the management on time.
· Ensuring agreed design timeline are met as per the deadlines by the team.
· Ensure that the project is delivered within budget, time and free from defects.
· Ensure that any risk & issue is escalated as and when required.
Leadership & Teamwork
The candidate will be required in the capacity of an Individual Contributor and will need-
· Ensure stakeholders are in consensus with the proposed design/approach.
· Responsible for obtaining sign off for the change done by you/team.
· Ensure design timelines agreed are met & quality product is delivered.
· Responsible for overall design delivery, budget, defect free product.
Functional Knowledge
· Techno-functional skills are preferred.
· Experience of Finance and / or regulatory reporting execution and delivery.
· Knowledge of regulatory rules related to Liquidity & IRRBB Reporting.
· Understanding of design, reporting processes and systems.
· Worked with a large Global Finance team that delivers complex and transformational regulatory change.
· Strong documentation skills (Microsoft Office).
· Experience in the delivery of change with excellent business analysis capabilities and a track record of successfully being involved in complex change projects with cross functional impacts and dependencies.
· Drive, motivation and commitment.
· Understanding of HSBC group structures, values, behaviors, processes and objectives.
· Good knowledge of the external regulatory reporting environment.
· Understanding of the HSBC operating model at Group, country and business level.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with proven ability to handle multiple outputs at the same time.
· Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with proven experience of communicating effectively and confidently at all levels across the Group in a complex global environment.
· Able to operate effectively under pressure and navigate ambiguity and changing priorities.
