Job Summary
The Associate Product Specialist is responsible for driving sales growth and customer engagement within the assigned territory covering Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, and Gangwon-do in South Korea. This field-based role partners with healthcare professionals, hospital procurement teams, and other key stakeholders to promote Cardinal Health's product portfolio and support customer needs.
A significant portion of time is spent visiting hospitals and customers to build relationships, identify growth opportunities, and achieve sales targets aligned with business objectives. The Associate Product Specialist provides product education and support to healthcare professionals by communicating product features, benefits, and applications.
The role offers an excellent opportunity for recent graduates and early-career professionals to develop sales, product, and healthcare industry knowledge while working closely with experienced team members and cross-functional partners.
Responsibilities
- Drive sales growth by identifying and developing opportunities within assigned accounts and target customers.
- Build and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals, hospital procurement teams, and key decision-makers.
- Prospect for new business opportunities while increasing product penetration within existing accounts.
- Conduct regular customer visits to understand customer needs and promote Cardinal Health solutions.
- Support product demonstrations, evaluations, and customer education activities.
- Observe clinical procedures and healthcare practices, as appropriate, to better understand product utilization and customer requirements.
- Participate in contract discussions, pricing reviews, and issue resolution activities to support customer satisfaction.
- Analyze sales outcomes and customer purchasing trends using available sales tools, Atlas and Tableau, and reports to identify growth opportunities.
- Develop and execute territory plans aligned with sales objectives and business priorities.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Contracts, Pricing, Customer Service, Product Specialists, and other internal stakeholders to support customer needs and drive sales.
- Maintain accurate records of customer activities, sales opportunities, forecasts, and account information.
- Continuously develop product, industry, and competitive knowledge to effectively position Cardinal Health solutions in the market.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
- Basic command of Business English.
- Internship, part-time work, or extracurricular experience demonstrating leadership, customer service, sales, or relationship-building skills is a plus.
- Interest in healthcare, medical devices, or sales is preferred.
