PROCESS BRIEF

The Partners Product Development department is responsible for designing, implementing, and enhancing analytical reports and applications that serve all our FactSet clients. Within Product Development, the Partners Hyderabad Product Development team is responsible for Product Feature development and support, Contribution to Product Design, Critical Product Analysis and Product Documentation and Education.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Partners PD - Associate Product Specialists will work on Partners projects related to RMS products. This is an individual contributor role within the Research Management Solutions Product Development team.  It includes the following responsibilities:

+ Contribution to Product Design and Department Goals

  • Assist product owners in designing features and writing specifications
  • Contribute to departmental product development projects and tasks
  • Collection of usage insights to support development decisions

+ Critical Product Analysis and Maintenance

  • Monitor, prioritize and communicate on development requests in cross-team collaboration
  • Identify recurring issues/requests and make recommendations for feature enhancements
  • Collection of metrics to improve software and processes

     + Ensuring product quality for all assigned applications/projects

  • Work closely with engineering to achieve outstanding user experience
  • Prebuild testing to ensure changes and enhancements work properly
  • Participate in team efforts for major regression and performance testing.

+ Product Documentation

  • Support product documentation and release note creation
  • Develop deep understanding of software features and client usage.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Undergrad in Computer Science/Engineering; Graduation in MBA specialized in Finance
  • Preferably a minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in Finance, User Experience and Software Development Life Cycle
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word & Power Point)
  • Familiarity and a high level of interest of financial research workflows
  • Comfortable with technical details and a basic understanding of SQL
  • Quick learner; ability to apply skills and past experiences in new situations
