The Associate Product Manager will collaborate on product line contributions, support product development, gather customer requirements, and assist in communication across teams, while striving to become a product expert.
As an Associate Product Manager, you will play a key role on a team that is charged with a product line contribution. This extends from evolution of Model N extensive product portfolio to developing new products for Life Sciences companies. You will be part of a dynamic team that builds products from existing ideas and helps to develop new ideas based on internal and external stakeholder engagement.

A key attribute of a Associate Product Manager is your ability to communicate with all areas of the company. You will be part of the team that works with engineering counterparts to define product release requirements. You will assist the team in providing input into marketing and sales around product positioning, key benefits, and target customers. You will learn your subject matter and product area as you strive to become an internal expert for your product offering.
This role is primarily remote, with occasional travel required for team meetings or project needs. The role reports to the Director of Product Management, ensuring clear alignment with organizational goals and priorities.
Responsibilities:
· Learn and continue to enhance vertical domain knowledge for your assigned product area
· Support your Product Line team leader, participate in customer meetings, gather true customer and prospect requirements, follow up on customer needs meticulouslyAct as a champion for the customer, consistently advocating for their needs throughout the product development lifecycle to ensure solutions deliver meaningful value and address real-world challenges.
· Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to devise innovative solutions
· Develop User Journeys, Story Maps, User Stories and Non-Functional requirements to articulate business needs
· Maintain and continuously groom the backlog for your assigned product.
· Participate in finalizing the release scope for your assigned products, including preparing release communications for all stakeholders
· Assist in development of business scenarios for testing, conduct documentation reviews, contribute to internal training, and assist with customer demonstrations.

Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in information systems or computer science (or a similar degree)
· Up to 3 years of total experience in the software industry, or a role with emphasis on business intelligence report development, analytics or data management (or similar combination of internships and relevant course work)
· Strong analytical skills, creative problem solving, and resourcefulness
· Strong verbal and written communication skills and polished presentation skills
· Demonstrated exceptional time management skills
· Strong collaboration skills, adaptability, and resilience, enabling successful teamwork and effective navigation of a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
· Given the remote nature of the position, the candidate must be familiar with collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams.
· Preferred functional and business skills:
- Experience gathering functional requirements for software application development
- Experience in developing test cases for B2B software applications
- Prior exposure to Life Sciences or Health Insurance industry
- Prior experience with finance-related software in a Business Analyst or similar role (e.g., ERP software, FP&A, Accounts Payable, Order Management)
· Preferred technical skills:
- Extensive familiarity with Excel (e.g., complex formulas, pivot tables)
- General understanding of relational, OLAP and No-SQL databases
- Basic SQL or Python or VBA skills for data analysis
- Exposure to analytics tools such as Tableau, Cognos, Looker, Jaspersoft or similar
- JIRA or similar portfolio management tools
- Possess basic understanding of UI/UX skills to guide user-centric design decisions,
- Awareness of current AI technologies and how they can be applied in software development.
- Product Management and Agile experience, especially working in Scrum teams and engaging in various Agile ceremonies
