Associate Product Designer - Lending&Savings

We are looking for an Associate Product Designer to join N26's UX Team. 

In this role, you will be working in a cross-functional team collaboratively to deliver a great user experience for our product offering(s). You will report to the Head of UX within the Lending & Savings segment.

N26's UX Team is part of the larger Product & UX organization. We are a multidisciplinary team of 40+ talented individuals (known as "UXers"), who practice Product Design, User Research, UX Writing, and Design Operations. Most of our UXers are distributed across various cross-functional teams, looking after different product verticals. Our team is based in Berlin and Barcelona.

Associate Product Designer for the Lending & Savings segment would have a focus on a range of financial products, including Instant Savings, Overdraft, Consumer Credit (loans), Installment Loans (BNPL), and Instant Savings. The team is working to further develop the portfolio of products by expanding ‌use cases to address a wider range of use needs, while extending access to customers across our 24 markets.

As a key component of both the N26 customer experience and N26’s financial success, this role presents the opportunity to have a huge impact on N26’s future success.

• 1+ years designing visually polished and user-friendly digital product interfaces as part of a cross-functional team, with a portfolio showcasing your UI work
• Demonstrated experience in creating wireframes, high-fidelity visual designs, and interactive UI prototypes, with a strong emphasis on crafting pixel-perfect and aesthetically pleasing user interfaces. Your portfolio should showcase your attention to UI detail and visual execution
• Experience with usability testing, particularly focusing on the effectiveness and appeal of user interfaces
• An understanding of how strong UI design contributes to user engagement, product goals, and business objectives, aligning your visual work with team strategies for the user experience
• Experience with industry standard design and research tools (Figma, Miro, User testing etc…)
• Good communication skills, with a developing ability to craft narratives that explain the 'why' behind your design work, provide context for decisions, and effectively seek feedback
• A growing ability to manage your workload for assigned tasks, delivering accurate and timely outputs while beginning to anticipate challenges
• Demonstrates increasing consistency and attention to detail in your design outputs

• Contribute to the N26 Design System. Work closely with senior designers on maturing our design system library and guidelines
• Work with agile processes in close collaboration with product management, engineering, data analytics and other stakeholders
• Turn user problems detected across all feedback channels into product opportunities. Work together with product managers and engineers to oversee the development of a product from problem definition, and conception, to launch
• Increase the level of delightfulness. Design mobile and web interfaces that are incredibly simple, elegant, and enjoyable for users
