The Associate Producer will support the production process for Pattern’s 7500 ft² photography and video studio, playing a crucial role in coordinating logistics and managing projects from concept through execution. This role works closely with producers, photographers, stylists, and art directors to ensure smooth and efficient production of commercial product photography.
This is a full-time role and will work a hybrid schedule based in Lehi, UT.

What is a day in the life of an Associate Producer?
Receive and manage product sample shipments arriving at the studio. Prep for upcoming shoots and communicate with teams about the status of samples.
Keep brand managers and creative project leads up to date about sample status
Prep products for shoots, by unboxing and sorting items according to shot lists
Work closely with art directors, photographers, and stylists to move products through
live sets
Work within a larger production team to manage samples in the studio throughout the process of receiving, organization, and liquidation.
Monitor and maintain office and janitorial supplies
Help maintain studio organization and amenities
Coordinate craft services for shoot crews
Assist producer with expense tracking, budgets, and billing as needed
Assist production crew with set building, styling, and equipment setup as needed
Provide support to art directors while on set
Run project meetings and facilitate collaboration on studio projects between art directors, brand managers, and production crews as assigned by the producer
Prepare budgets, obtain spending approvals, and monitor expenses for assigned shoots
Use project management software to track and document project decisions, timelines, budgets and schedules
Ensure that project documents (product lists, budgets, art direction, shotlists, etc) are complete and provided to project members according to project timelines
Prepare call sheets and serve as the main point of contact for crew members
Cultivate and maintain relationships with external resources (talent/agency, HMUA, stylists, set builders, etc)
Suggest brand-right talent
Book selected locations, talent, and freelancers for projects
Manage usage agreements, shoot contracts, and invoices
Schedule location scouting and casting calls
Assist producer in coordinating travel and transportation needs of production crews
What will I need to thrive in this role?
At least 2 years of studio production experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience with project management software required, Asana experience a plus
Proficient with Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets
Experience working on commercial product photography productions
Exemplary interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to considerately balance and prioritize the needs of multiple stakeholders
Extreme attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Thrives in the ambiguity and change that comes with production
Ability to travel several times per year, for shoots up to 7 consecutive days
Knowledge of eCommerce industry standards and processes
Ability to lift 50 pounds

Product samples are opened and verified as soon as possible after arrival to address potential problems
Assigned responsibilities for studio organization or amenities are handled well before a need arises, so that all team members can use the space efficiently
You take full ownership of your projects and follow through to completion, stepping in to own the resolution of unforeseen problems that would block a project
What is my potential for career growth?
The associate producer has the clear path to progress to a producer role within the photography team. There are also video producers and project managers within the larger creative team that may offer opportunities for growth.
What does success look like in the first 30, 60, 90 days?
Within the first 30 days you will assist other producers on shoots that are in progress, and shadow them during planning meetings.
Within 60 days, you will produce your first small scale shoot, receiving and organizing the products and handling scheduling.
By 90 days, you will have assigned responsibilities within the studio team, and will be regularly assigned projects to produce.
What is the team like?
You will work with the other producers, associate producers, photographers, stylists and art directors and be supervised by the Director of Photography. This team is data driven and results oriented. You will collaborate regularly with members of your team to produce content that measurably improves conversion on e-Commerce platforms. Ideas and input are encouraged from all members.
