Job Description:
At SMG, we turn our patented DAFUZ system to create award winning titles including LEGO Party! Moving Out, Thumb Drift, and One More Line. We love building fun first games and we don’t take ourselves too seriously.
We are seeking an Associate Producer on a 2-year contract to connect our people, systems, and ideas to help great games get made brilliantly. This is a junior role for someone equally comfortable wrangling spreadsheets as you are supporting a team to do their best work.
We'll be running this project out of the Sydney studio, but offer remote working or have offices in Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide you could work from – we just need full Australian working rights.
If you're on top of your game (or would like to be) and care about your work, then let’s talk. Please apply with your CV and cover letter.
Core responsibilities:
Own and coordinate production workflows across multiple workstreams, keeping timelines and deliverables on track
Partner with cross-functional teams (design, art, engineering) to remove blockers, improve processes, and maintain a high bar for quality
Maintain and optimise production tools and systems (Jira, Google Suite, Slack, spreadsheets), including asset pipelines, reporting, and tracking
Support planning and delivery by tracking progress and contributing to strategic decisions
A bit about you:
A love of games!
You get stuff done. You’ve gained some experience as a Junior Producer (or equivalent), ideally within games or digital production (managing budgets, resources, schedules, scope, and reporting)
You are organised and proactive, able to manage moving pieces
Communicates clearly and thoughtfully, able to break down complexity or ideas into something simple and actionable
Humble, collaborative, and calm under pressure.
What’s in it for you:
The opportunity to give back with dedicated volunteer leave and our whole-company event, One Day for Change.
5 weeks annual leave after 2 years of service and 3 whole company Wellness days off per year for you to switch off and take your day, your way.
Career Development and Learning & Development opportunities, including access to our global online dentsu University.
Become a champion for meaningful progress:
Our diverse and inclusive culture enables our employees to bring their whole selves to work and be proud of doing so. For us, this is the foundation for great innovation which, in turn, generates better outcomes for our people, partners and communities. This is why we encourage applications from people with disabilities, and of all ages, nationalities, backgrounds and cultures.
If you want to belong to a one global network where opportunities are limitless – we look forward to welcoming you.
