JOB DESCRIPTION

The Ingraham Angle is hiring an Associate Producer for our DC team. This role offers hands-on exposure to every aspect of news production in a fast-paced environment. The Associate Producer will play a key role in shaping content by researching stories, pitching ideas, and booking guests. This position is an excellent opportunity for a motivated journalist looking to build a long-term career in cable news.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITES:

• Pitch stories and guests

• Compile research packets

• Conduct pre-interview with guests

• Pitch and cut audio and visual elements to support segments

• Book guests during breaking news situations

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

• 2+ years of national news production experience

• A deep passion for news

• Strong editorial judgment and story skills

• Familiarity with iNEWS, DALET, and VIZ preferred; ability to learn new systems quickly is essential

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with the team

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $67,000.00-75,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
