Job DescriptionReporting to the Vice President, WNET Station Group and collaborating with other local production units heads, the Associate Producer supports the development, creation, and delivery of high-quality local, multi-platform digital content.
Creates and edits video content of varying formats and lengths for YouTube, social media, and other digital platforms;
Assists in sourcing, organizing, and repurposing existing footage and materials for new formats and platforms;
Assists with creating and producing original video content, including planning and managing video shoots for web series and other digital projects;
Supports a wide range of production responsibilities, including content management, editorial production, web development QA, and digital strategy.
Other relevant duties, as assigned.
Qualified candidates will posses strong organizational skills and attention to detail, the ability to prioritize and maintain flexibility when priorities change, and the ability to work well within a team environment and across prioritized local strategy verticals. Additional qualifications include:
A minimum of one (1) year of experience working in digital video production;
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud – Premiere, After Effects and Photoshop essential;
Proven track record of creative and innovative storytelling and high-quality execution;
Familiarity with technical video troubleshooting;
Strong understanding of producing audience-centric video for YouTube, social media, and other platforms.
Candidates with strong editorial and copy-editing skills, a keen visual sense, and experience in agency, television or media working environments are preferred. Experience in field production, podcasting and/or working with media management is a plus.

The WNET Group offers competitive salaries, excellent benefits, and a supportive working environment. Salary ranges are based on benchmarked nonprofit and industry related data provided by an outside consulting firm and are commensurate with skills and experience. The hiring salary range for this position is $62,000.00 - $65,000.00. Internal equity considerations will be reviewed before making a final offer.
