In this role, you'll write compelling anchor scripts—including readers, VOSOTs, and guest and reporter intros—as well as craft sharp lower thirds and teases. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, has stellar communication skills, and has the drive to win.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Write copy including readers and teases
- Pitch, develop, and produce original story ideas
- Monitor live events to identify breaking news and important developments
- Stay ahead of the day's news by tracking editorial updates and communicating changes quickly and effectively to the team
- Perform research, find, cut, and produce elements, and write scripts as needed
- Coordinate daily story development with show team
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience
- Experience in television news production
- Strong editorial judgment and logistical skills, with a solid understanding of national and international politics
- A self-starter who can work independently while collaborating effectively in a team environment
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, manage multiple priorities, and adapt quickly during breaking news
- Familiarity with iNews, Dalet, and VIZ preferred

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $67,000.00-75,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
