Associate-Procurement

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring accurate and timely purchase order confirmations, supporting seamless operations for customers and customer service teams across the European warehouse network.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Ensuring that all purchase order confirmations are processed as per the service level agreement
• This covers quantity, delivery date and pricing
• The primary objective being a complete, accurate and timely set of confirmation in the system for our customers and customer service
• Actively follow up missing confirmation and expediting overdue delivery dates
• Cancelling open Purchase Orders where we have no current demand or forecast.
• This includes contacting the supplier to cancel open order lines where the customer has cancelled their order and we no longer need to have these products come into our warehouses, in addition to updating the Purchase Orders in system.
• Additional research and data entry type processes will be added to the above as we move forward.
• Must input individual confirmation data from fax, e-mail, paper mail, ASE fall-out with the set target time.
•  The confirmation over all external deliveries into the European network of warehouses and associated direct deliveries.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

• Excellent communication skills in English
• Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel
• Good organization skills
• Willingness to work in shifts as per business requirements
• Good decision-making skills
• Experience in ERP application (SAP) and Outlook is an added advantage
• Ability to learn VWR terminology
• Ability to coordinate actions across various functions and drive results
