Position Description
Associate - Private Equity Investment
The investment manager position primarily focuses on growth-stage private equity investments in the primary market, encompassing both USD and RMB deals in targeted regions and sectors. Candidates with relevant regional and deal stage experience are highly preferred.
Key Areas of Responsibilities
Collaborate with the team to identify attractive investment targets in the Pan-Asia region with a focus on Greater China region industrial development
Conduct thorough due diligence on potential investment opportunities, including research, competitive analysis, corporate structure assessment, regulatory trends, and financial analysis.
Build financial models and perform valuation analysis for target companies, ensuring accuracy and comprehensiveness.
Prepare investment memos and presentations for the investment committee, articulating strategic recommendations and returns effectively.
Support the structuring and negotiation of legal documentation, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
Monitor portfolio company performance post-investment, providing insights and recommendations for improvements.
Exhibit open-mindedness and a willingness to consider diverse perspectives and ideas in investment decision-making.
Requirements
Postgraduate degree holder with strong academic background from a reputable university
3-8 years of experience in growth-stage private equity investment or investment banking; experience with Greater China growth PE transactions and deal sourcing is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both ENGLISH and CHINESE is a must.
Extensive knowledge in specific sectors is essential, particularly in: General Industrial Emerging Technologies; or New Energy and Advanced Manufacturing; or Healthcare and Advanced Technologies.
An investor mindset, demonstrating knowledge of the latest market trends and industry developments.
Strong market research and sizing skills, along with solid financial modelling and analytical capabilities, able to interpret complex financial data effectively.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, demonstrating leadership qualities when necessary.
Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Capacity to approach challenges with an open mind and a collaborative spirit, integrating feedback and learning from others.
