Job DescriptionREQUIREMENTS:
- Total experience: 11+ years.
- Design, implement, and unit test software components for our Compass Cash Center Product using Java 8+, Spring Boot/MVC, Hibernate/JPA, React, and Microservices Architecture.
- Play an active, responsible role in cross-site Agile Scrum teams working with cloud-native applications on AWS/Azure and container platforms like Kubernetes/OpenShift.
- Provide detailed effort estimates for assigned components involving REST, SOAP, GraphQL, WebSockets, Kafka, and SQL-based cloud/on-prem databases.
- Drive software design and implementation with high quality standards leveraging UML, design patterns, Git, Jenkins, and automated CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with System Testers, Support Specialists, and Business Analysts while integrating solutions with IBM Integration Composer and IBM ODM.
- Create proof of concepts to validate design assumptions related to microservices, cloud-native architecture, authentication (OAuth 2.0, SAML), and schema evolution in JSON.
- Contribute to continuous application modernization using modern UI practices, responsive design, and evolving cloud technologies.
- Ensure evolution of software platform across teams and products by architecting scalable, enterprise-grade integrated applications.
- Participate in software development process improvements aligned with global team collaboration and Agile best practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Writing and reviewing great quality code.
- Understanding functional requirements thoroughly and analysing the client’s needs in the context of the project.
- Envisioning the overall solution for defined functional and non-functional requirements, and being able to define technologies, patterns, and frameworks to realize it.
- Determining and implementing design methodologies and tool sets.
- Enabling application development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities.
- Being able to lead/support UAT and production rollouts.
- Creating, understanding, and validating WBS and estimated effort for a given module/task, and being able to justify it.
- Addressing issues promptly, responding positively to setbacks and challenges with a mindset of continuous improvement.
- Giving constructive feedback to team members and setting clear expectations.
- Helping the team troubleshoot and resolve complex bugs.
- Coming up with solutions to issues raised during code/design review and being able to justify the decisions taken.
- Carrying out POCs to ensure that suggested designs/technologies meet the requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
