Associate Pre-Sales Solution Consultant
Role OverviewThe Associate Pre-Sales Solution Consultant is a role designed for individuals looking to grow their career at the intersection of retail technology and enterprise sales. Working within the Solution Consultant team, you will support the sales organization by helping maintain and demonstrate Aptos’ retail technology solutions to prospective customers.
In this role, you will work closely with experienced consultants, sales teams, and product managers to learn how enterprise retail platforms are positioned, demonstrated, and sold. You will gain hands-on experience with Aptos’ platform capabilities—including POS, order management, omnichannel, and CRM—while developing the technical and consultative skills needed to advance in a pre-sales career.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a foundational background in retail technology or enterprise software who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a collaborative team environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesPre-Sales Support- Assist senior consultants in delivering product demonstrations showcasing POS, omnichannel, and retail platform capabilities.
- Participate in discovery sessions with prospective customers to help gather technical and business requirements.
- Support the preparation of RFP/RFI responses and technical validation activities under the guidance of senior team members.
- Help configure and tailor demo scenarios to reflect specific retailer challenges and use cases.
- Assist in maintaining and improving the organization’s retail demo environments used by the sales team.
- Help implement and configure newly released product features within demo systems to keep them current.
- Support the development of reusable demo scenarios and workflows aligned with common retail use cases.
- Help ensure demo environments remain stable, accurate, and aligned with current product releases.
- Learn to communicate observations and feedback from sales interactions to internal product and engineering teams.
- Collaborate with more experienced consultants to understand upcoming product releases and prepare for demonstrations.
- Support the translation of product features and roadmap updates into customer-facing messaging, with guidance.
- Assist in developing integration documentation, technical diagrams, and solution materials to support customer engagements.
- Learn foundational concepts around API integrations, microservices, and retail system connectivity.
- Support configuration and troubleshooting of demo environments using tools such as POSTMAN, AWS console, and REST APIs.
- Collaborate with sales, implementation, and product teams to develop a well-rounded understanding of the full customer lifecycle.
- Support marketing and leadership teams at industry events and retail innovation discussions as needed.
- Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and enablement materials for the sales team.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- 2–4 years of experience in retail technology, enterprise software, solution consulting, or a related field.
- Some exposure to enterprise sales cycles or a technical pre-sales environment is a plus.
- Familiarity with retail systems such as POS, OMS, inventory management, or omnichannel fulfillment.
- Experience working in retail operations or a retail technology environment is highly preferred.
- Comfortable presenting to small groups and building credibility with customers over time.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Good organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and take on new challenges in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of system integrations and how enterprise software platforms connect.
- Foundational knowledge of retail data and data relationships is a plus.
- Some exposure to relational or non-relational database technologies is beneficial.
- Eagerness to develop troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills.
- General curiosity about networking technologies (VPN, firewall, cloud infrastructure).

The pay range for this position is between $70,000 plus Incentive Bonus. Starting salary may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position being offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
We offer a competitive total rewards package including a base salary determined based on the role, experience, skill set, and location. For those in eligible roles, discretionary incentive compensation may be awarded in recognition of individual achievements and contributions.
