The Team:

The Enterprise Solutions Platform Engineering team is a global organization that is responsible for building out design patterns and templates to help teams modernize and accelerate their migration to the AWS Cloud.  Platform Engineering works across product lines to help identify common challenges in Cloud automation and operations and works to identify and deploy central solutions that teams can adopt to meet business and client requirements. 

Responsibilities and Impact:

The Platform Engineering team is responsible for AWS build and design patterns and automation. 

Responsibilities include:

• Build Cloud Infrastructure as code in Terraform

• Build Cloud Native automation to monitor health, quality and compliance of services in the AWS cloud

• Build CI/CD Pipelines for the deployment of AWS and automation resources

• Design and build scripts to automate standard workflows

• Assist in the development of processes and practices as it relates to workloads in the AWS Cloud

• Collaborate with product and development teams to help design infrastructure and service patterns in AWS

• Help in identifying and documenting application and infrastructure enhancements to improve overall performance and client experiences

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $63,000 to $73,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

The Platform Engineering team is looking for someone in the Dallas/Fort Worth area who people who have the following qualifications.

• Basic understanding of Git repositories

• Basic AWS Cloud Service understanding

• Scripting capabilities: (Powershell, BASH, etc)

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Desire to learn, grow and be challenged with new technologies and opportunities

• Must be able to work closely with peers in different geographic regions and locations
