The Role

Role : Associate - Planning


Overview
As a Planning Analyst, you will play a critical role in forecasting and managing demand to optimize supply chain resource planning and ensure customer satisfaction. You will utilize data analysis, statistical techniques, and market insights to develop accurate demand forecasts and drive strategic decision making within the organization. Your efforts will contribute directly to the company & success by ensuring efficient supply chain operations and meeting customer demand effectively.

Responsibilities


1. Demand Forecasting: Utilize historical sales data, market trends, and other relevant factors to develop accurate demand forecasts.
2. Data Analysis: Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies that impact demand, utilizing tools such as Excel, SQL, Python & Data Science modelling.
3. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, finance, and supply chain to gather insights, align on forecast assumptions, and communicate demand expectations.
4. Forecast Accuracy Improvement: Continuously evaluate and refine forecasting models and methodologies to improve forecast accuracy and reduce forecast error.
5. Demand Planning Process: Drive the demand planning process from demand review meetings to consensus forecasting, ensuring alignment across all stakeholders and departments.
6. Performance Metrics: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as forecast accuracy, service levels, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
7. Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and macroeconomic factors to anticipate changes in demand patterns and adjust forecasts accordingly.
8. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and system enhancements to streamline demand planning processes and improve efficiency.

Skills Required:

● Strong problem-solving ability – The ideal candidate should demonstrate structured thinking, robust analytical skills, and a strong orientation towards processes.
● Strong in Data analytics –Should be highly proficient in Advances Excel, SQL & Python
● Highly Action Oriented – At Myntra, we foster a culture that values proactive action and swift implementation. The incoming candidate should demonstrate ownership of projects from conceptualization through to execution.
● Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing business needs.
● Ability to collaborate - Cultivate collaborative relationships with colleagues across departments and provide support to analysts within the team.

Education and Experience Required:
● BE/BTech from Tier 1 institute & with a professional experience of 0-2 years
● Professional experience in e-commerce / Retail / Analytics
