Marsh is seeking candidates to join our Casualty Healthcare Placement team based in our New York or Chicago office location. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
What can you expect:
Work alongside a senior placement broker to assist in all aspects of a client’s insurance program including the development of a renewal strategy; ensuring a completed submission and sending to market; negotiating broad coverage terms; documenting all placement activities to ensure timely follow up by client, carriers and client team.
Build relationships within your team, colleagues, insurance markets, clients, carriers and/or underwriters to provide cohesive client service.
We will count on you to:
Consult management on complex client issues or trends through clear and concise communication and participate in development of solutions
Ensure client renewal transactions are compliant with professional standards.
Assist in special projects within team.
Consult with client executives and client teams to support client retention and new business production
Assist in submitting coverage specifications and policy management for follow up with underwriters and client team to provide cohesive client service.
Input placement data into system within specified timeframes and accurately.
Complete first check of policy and confirm policy language to support policy renewal process.
Inspect the binding of coverage and is responsible for the accuracy of placement binders
Work towards:
A solid knowledge of market risk issues, insurance brokerage, account management, servicing and sales skills
A detailed understanding of changing insurance and risk management market conditions
What you need to have:
College degree
Insurance industry experience preferred
P & C licensed preferred, OR able to obtain within 12 months of employment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) and the ability to learn proprietary applications/databases
