A Day in the LifeGlobal Payroll Business Support enables accurate, compliant, and consistent payroll operations across Medtronic. The team serves as a central point of contact for payroll-related activities, supports process standardization, leverages technology to improve operational efficiency, and partners with stakeholders to enhance the employee pay experience. Through continuous improvement initiatives, the team helps ensure payroll processes, systems, and data operate effectively across the organization.This role is based in Taguig, Philippines and follows a hybrid work model, combining in-office and remote work arrangements.
The Associate Payroll Analyst supports payroll operations by assisting with payroll processing activities, resolving payroll-related inquiries, maintaining payroll data accuracy, and contributing to compliance and process improvement efforts. This role partners with internal stakeholders to support timely and accurate payroll delivery while maintaining a high standard of customer service.
Primary Responsibilities:
Support payroll processing activities to help ensure employees are paid accurately and on schedule.
Investigate and resolve payroll-related inquiries, discrepancies, and transactional issues in accordance with established procedures.
Review, validate, and maintain payroll data to support data accuracy and compliance requirements.
Assist in payroll audits, reconciliations, and reporting activities to support operational and regulatory requirements.
Document and maintain payroll procedures, process documentation, and knowledge resources.
Collaborate with Human Resources, Finance, vendors, and other stakeholders to address payroll-related matters.
Support system, process, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance payroll operations and employee experience.
Utilize payroll systems and reporting tools to monitor transactions, analyze data, and support decision-making.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience in payroll processing, payroll administration, or payroll operations, or an advanced degree with 1+ years of experience in payroll processing, payroll administration, or payroll operations.
Experience supporting payroll transactions, employee payroll inquiries, payroll reconciliations, and payroll data management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and reconciliation activities.
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
Experience handling confidential employee information with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting EMEA payroll operations or working in a global payroll environment.
Experience using Workday, ServiceNow, or other Human Capital Management and case management platforms.
Experience with Power Query, Power BI, or other reporting and analytics tools.
Knowledge of payroll compliance, taxation, and Human Resources operations.
Experience working in a shared services or multinational organization and participating in process improvement initiatives.
